    1. No, they are new buses from Sweden. Scania have signed an agreement with NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) for their pilot project of running ethanol based bio fuel buses in India. Currently one such bus is running as a city bus in Nagpur, in Indian Province of Maharashtra.

Four such buses are expected to join the fleet soon in January 2015.

    2. No. This bus was originally built by Scania and bodied by Gemilang. It was originally on trial by BMTA Bangkok. You can Google up "ED95 BMTA". Once again, this bus is second hand from Thailand and not new as you have proclaimed.

    5. The information provided by the Indian newspaper is unreliable and they lack credible sources in backing up their claims.

By the way, this bus is a Scania K270UB.
It has very similar counterparts in Singapore (SBS Transit/Woodlands Transport), Malaysia (Rapid Penang/KL/Kuantan) and even Australia. Majority are bodied by Gemilang.
